Return and Refund Policy

 At The Bread Box Bakery (PTY) LTD, we strive to ensure customer satisfaction across all our products and services, which includes catering services, prepacked meals, baked goods, and cooking studio events. This policy outlines the terms for returns, refunds, and cancellations. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our team who will be happy to engage with you or give further clarity.

1. Returns and Refunds for Products

1.1. Prepacked Meals and Baked Goods Due to the perishable nature of our prepacked meals and baked goods:

  • Returns of goods are not acceptable unless if there is a product defect. 
  • You are encouraged to inform us immediately as soon as you have experienced a defect in the product.
  • Refunds or replacements may be provided if there is a quality issue or if the product is damaged upon delivery. Please notify us within 6-12 hours of receiving the product with photographic evidence to support your claim.
  • Refunds will not apply for products that have been fully consumed.

1.2. Catering Services

  • Any issues with catering services must be reported within 6 hours of the event. Refunds or remedies will be assessed on a case-by-case basis based on the nature of the complaint.
  • Deposits for catering orders are non-refundable. Changes to the order must be communicated at least 5 days prior to the event.

2. Event Cancellation and Refund Policy

2.1. Cooking Studio Events

  • Cancellation by the Participant:
    • Cancellations made at least 5 days before the event date are eligible for a full refund.
    • Cancellations made between 4-3 days before the event will receive a 50% refund.
    • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 72 hours before the event.
  • Cancellation by The Bread Box Bakery:
    • Event Cancellation or Postponement: In the unlikely event of a cancellation or postponement, you will be entitled to a full refund or the option to transfer your registration to the new date.

2.2. Private Bookings and Team-Building Events

  • A deposit of 75% is required to secure your booking.
  • Deposits are non-refundable for cancellations made less than 5 days before the scheduled date.
  • Changes to the booking must be communicated at least 7 days in advance.

3. General Conditions

  • Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after approval.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • The Bread Box Bakery reserves the right to amend this policy without prior notice. Any changes will be updated on our website.
